Shared 1st prize in a competition for energy efficient housing area in Helsinki

Eriksson Architects won shared 1st prize in a competition for energy efficient housing area in Helsinki Honkasuo area. The plan consists of wooden detached private houses and the planning area is all together 2500 sqm.

The jury commented following: “ Entry ‘niittyperhonen’ makes a new interpretation for a row house. Conventional row house is subtly split into pieces by low middle parts. Sliced building row is very lively and creates adventurous housing environment. “
